The man was killed in the collision and his body was removed to the Naas Mortuary where a post mortem will take place. A female passenger in the car was brought to St Luke's General Hospital Kilkenny for treatment non-life threatening injuries.
A 12-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being hit by a car in Chingford. Police were called to Loxham Road at around 3.30pm yesterday following reports of a crash between a car and a teenage boy. Upon arrival, the boy was treated by paramedics before being rushed to hospital with injuries thought to be life-threatening. No arrests have been made and police have asked any witnesses to get in touch.

A three-year-old boy was seriously injured in a crash involving a van in a car park in Bournemouth. Emergency services were called at around 12.36pm on Saturday to reports of an incident involving a child and a blue Vauxhall Vivaro van in the car park of Lansdowne Court, Lansdowne Road. The boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries, Dorset Police said, and his family has been informed.
The victim of Sunday's fatal road traffic collision that occurred just outside Tralee has been named as David Siegel (24) from Tralee. David was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 10am on Sunday as gardai and emergency services responded to reports of a single-vehicle incident involving a car on the N69 at Ballingowan (near the Ballygarry roundabout). Mr Siegel was driving the vehicle and was the sole occupant when the tragic incident happened.
A man has died following a fatal road traffic collision near Edenderry, Co. Offaly this morning, August, 27. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the fatal collision, which involved a crane and two vans on the R401 at Drumcooly at approximately 6:15am. The driver of one of the vans, a male in his 40s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The male driver (30s) of the other van was brought to Midland Regional Hospital at Tullamore for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision on the N7 westbound at Rathcoole in Co Dublin. The collision, involving a number of vehicles, occurred at approximately 6.40pm this evening, Friday, August 22. The road is closed and westbound traffic is being diverted at Junction 2 (Kingswood). Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and use the N81 and N4, where possible, re-joining the N7 at Kill/Johnstown.
