A 43-year-old cyclist was hit by a bus on Atlantis Avenue in Beckton, east London, just before 6pm on Tuesday, sustaining serious injuries that left him in life-threatening condition. Emergency services including the Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service, and London's Air Ambulance responded to the scene. Paramedics assessed the victim before transporting him to hospital. The bus driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. No arrests were made. Detective Inspector Mark Braithwaite from the Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit is leading the investigation and has appealed for witnesses, dashcam footage, and CCTV evidence to aid the inquiry.
