The pedestrian, a juvenile female in her teens, was brought to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown for treatment of injuries and has since passed away this evening."
"An adult male, aged in his late teens, has been arrested in relation to this incident and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in the Dublin Region. Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have conducted an examination of the scene and the road has since reopened. Any road users or pedestrians who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were in the area between 2.10pm and 2.40pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí."

A green scrambler motorbike lay on the roadway with a helmet and a pair of trainers nearby. The pedestrian was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown and later died. An adult male in his late teens was arrested and is detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. Garda Forensic Collision Investigators examined the scene and the road reopened. Gardaí appealed for witnesses and dash-cam footage from 2.10pm–2.40pm and provided contact numbers. A local councillor said previous scrambler bike incidents occurred and the community will be traumatised.
