Woman (80s) dies following crash involving five vehicles before M1 toll bridge in Co Meath

"Shortly after 11.10am on on Friday, December 19, gardaí and emergency services responded to a collision involving five vehicles on the M1 northbound at Platin, Drogheda, Co Meath just before the toll bridge. Three people were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda for treatment. One of them, a woman, aged in her 80s, has since passed away. The Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course."
