The crash, involving a pedestrian and a car, occurred in the Tubrid More area of Ardfert in north Kerry on Monday evening (March 2) at approximately 9:20 pm. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and said the driver of the vehicle had left the scene before the arrival of gardaí.

A cyclist is fighting for his life after a collision in Coulsdon, south London on Monday. The cyclist was struck by a car at around 4.20pm on Ditches Lane in Coulsdon, around six miles from Croydon. Metropolitan Police officers were called to the scene, and the cyclist was taken to the hospital, where he remains in a life-threatening condition. The driver of the car involved in the incident, a red Hyundai i20, stopped at the scene and is cooperating with police as the investigation unfolds.
Gardaí were on patrol at Cashel Avenue in Crumlin, Dublin 12, at a public gathering at a bonfire on Friday evening. During the patrol, fireworks were discharged and missiles were thrown at uniform gardaí, forcing them to withdraw. Public Order Units were later deployed, who secured the area and helped the Dublin Fire Brigade to attend the scene safely. While at the scene, gardaí received a report of the discharge of a firework into a private residence shortly after 6.30pm.
The incident happened on Holloway Road at the junction with Madras Place, Islington in the early hours of Sunday, June 22. During the altercation at around 3.30am, one of the victims fell backwards and received injuries to her head before the suspect fled the scene. The incident happened on Holloway Road in Islington Officers rushed to the street and admitted the women to hospital, where they received treatment for bruising. One of the women was also treated for cuts to her head.
Police are concerned for the safety of a young woman reportedly kidnapped in east London. A 42-year-old man from east London was arrested last Wednesday on suspicion of kidnap in relation to the incident and bailed while enquiries continue. An investigation by the Metropolitan Police's Central East Criminal Investigations Unit is ongoing. Detective Inspector Grant Stevens, who is leading the probe, appealed for witnesses to come forward.
