The incident took place around 11 a.m. as Benicia police attempted to do a traffic stop. The car went off the highway at Westbound 780, rolling over into the bushes, landing between Columbus Parkway and Glen Cove Road. The woman was ejected and alert, and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, authorities said.
Troopers from the Danvers Barracks responded to a report of a multi-vehicle crash on the ramp from I-95 North to Route 1 North at Exit 70, according to a statement from Massachusetts State Police. Police said there were three separate crashes on the ramp, involving 12 vehicles in total.
A female has died in hospital after she was struck by a transport truck in a Brampton intersection on Thursday evening, police say. The collision happened at Queen Street W. and McLaughlin Road, Peel Regional Police said in a social media post. Officers were called to the scene at about 5:50 p.m. Peel paramedics took the female to hospital in life-threatening condition, where she was pronounced dead.
A San Francisco street-outreach worker suffered a battered hand after his car was allegedly struck by an autonomous Zoox vehicle on Saturday afternoon, according to the worker's manager. Jamel Durden, a 30-something street ambassador with the nonprofit Ahsing Solutions who regularly patrols the streets of the Mission District, was ending his break at around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and leaving his 1977 Cadillac Coupe DeVille when a Zoox vehicle allegedly struck the driver's side door.
ANTIOCH - A man suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol collided with an Antioch police car early Friday, sending a sergeant to the hospital, police said. The driver also was hospitalized in the crash that happened just before 2 a.m. at the intersection of A Street and W. 10th Street. Both the police sergeant and the suspect have been released and are expected to recover.
Two women were taken into custody for a crash in Chinatown that killed a resident from Brooklyn. The incident happened on Saturday just before 7:30 a.m. at Bowery and Canal Street.
