A female has died in hospital after she was struck by a transport truck in a Brampton intersection on Thursday evening, police say. The collision happened at Queen Street W. and McLaughlin Road, Peel Regional Police said in a social media post. Officers were called to the scene at about 5:50 p.m. Peel paramedics took the female to hospital in life-threatening condition, where she was pronounced dead.

ANTIOCH - A man suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol collided with an Antioch police car early Friday, sending a sergeant to the hospital, police said.
