O'Connell Street southbound reopened after a serious traffic incident earlier today. The road had been closed from Cathal Brugha Street to O'Connell Bridge following a crash around 12:15pm in the city centre. GardaĆ attended the scene and a spokesperson warned that delays were expected for travellers in the area. Onlookers shared images suggesting the incident involved a bus. The southbound side of the street and the pedestrian island near the Spire were cordoned off, with a bus wrapped in garda tape. One person was lifted into an ambulance at the scene. Normal traffic flow resumed after the reopening.
