"Just after 4 p.m. Saturday, the motorcyclist was riding a 2019 KTM Duke at a high rate of speed on southbound Highway 29, authorities said. He approached the intersection as the Tesla's driver crossed the southbound lanes while turning left from Hoffman onto northbound Highway 29."
"The rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The Tesla driver, described as an Oakland resident, was not injured. CHP officers shut down the southbound lanes for three hours while they investigated the collision."
A fatal motorcycle accident occurred on Saturday, February 28, on Highway 29 south of Yountville. A motorcyclist riding a 2019 KTM Duke at high speed collided with a 2018 Tesla Model X at the intersection of Hoffman Lane. The Tesla driver was turning left from Hoffman Lane onto northbound Highway 29 when the motorcycle broadsided the vehicle. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The Tesla driver, an Oakland resident, sustained no injuries. The California Highway Patrol closed southbound lanes for three hours to conduct their investigation.
