An 80-year-old man from Clarington died following a head-on collision on Highway 35/Highway 115 in Newcastle. The Ontario Provincial Police responded to the incident at approximately 1:45 p.m. on Sunday. The collision involved two SUVs, with one driver pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. Highway 35/Highway 115 northbound will remain closed for several hours for investigation. Police are seeking information or video footage from witnesses.
