A 6-year-old boy is clinging to life after he was struck by a Hatzolah ambulance in Brooklyn Saturday morning, according to police sources. The ambulance driver was heading west on 52nd St. around 10:34 a.m., striking the child near 52nd St. and 15th Ave. in Borough Park, cops said. EMS transported the child to Maimonides Medical Center where he was in critical condition. No arrests were made.

A dental nurse who broke a red light and knocked down a Leaving Cert student who was walking to school has been given a suspended sentence.

Mountain View police have arrested a 23-year-old woman on suspicion of hitting a pedestrian with her car after she had been drinking. At 9:47 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 31, officers were dispatched to to the area of W. El Camino Real and Miramonte Avenue/Shoreline Boulevard regarding calls about a car-vs-pedestrian accident. When police and Mountain View fire-paramedics arrived, they provided medical aid to the victim, a 64-year-old Mountain View resident, who was then taken to a hospital.

Anofils was driving recklessly and at a high rate of speed when he struck 82-year-old Austin Noel, who was crossing the street at approximately 3:40 a.m.

The driver and passenger are on the run after allegedly hitting six pedestrians at two Bronx scenes before careening into a scaffold and abandoning their vehicle.

The investigation revealed that the driver ran a red light and struck the pedestrian, who was legally crossing the street at the time.
