Man hit and killed by Muni bus in San Francisco, SFMTA says
"The pedestrian was struck and killed by a Muni bus in San Francisco on Geary Boulevard near Kearny Street around 6:50 a.m. The 38 Geary bus was travelling when the man reportedly fell from the sidewalk before he was hit by the bus."
"The pedestrian was taken to the hospital where he later died. Per the transit agency's standard procedures, the Muni driver is undergoing drug and alcohol testing, and has been placed on non-driving status."
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Muni bus in San Francisco on Geary Boulevard near Kearny Street. The incident occurred around 6:50 a.m. The 38 Geary bus was traveling when the man reportedly fell from the sidewalk and was hit. He was taken to the hospital but later died. The Muni driver is undergoing drug and alcohol testing and has been placed on non-driving status. Both SFMTA and the San Francisco Police Department are investigating the incident.
