In Oakland, California, a driver was arrested after a high-speed chase by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) led to a tragic incident where two pedestrians were struck. The pursuit initiated just before 8 p.m. and involved the driver colliding with another vehicle, injuring one. The chase concluded when the driver ran over two pedestrians on 12th Street, resulting in one fatality and one person hospitalized.
