Pedestrian killed in early morning crash on Highway 1 in Big Sur

Early Tuesday, a tragic accident on Highway 1 near Big Sur resulted in the death of a pedestrian. California Highway Patrol reported the incident, which occurred around 5:08 a.m., involved a 59-year-old driver from Aptos who struck the pedestrian while driving a white Chevrolet Express van.
