A Department of Transportation dump truck traveling east on Metropolitan Avenue in Queens struck 31-year-old Nilufar Komilova while attempting to turn right onto Lefferts Boulevard on Tuesday morning. Komilova sustained injuries to her head and torso and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained at the scene, and the NYPD is investigating the incident.
