Isaleb Anofils, aged 36, was arrested for fatally striking 82-year-old Austin Noel with his car on June 29, 2025. Anofils was driving a 2020 Nissan Maxima recklessly when he hit Noel at about 3:40 a.m. The impact hurled Noel approximately 150 feet, and he died at the scene. Anofils lost control of his vehicle, collided with a raised median, and fled without calling 911. He has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident and vehicular homicide, with a bond amount set at $27,500. Anofils previously served four years for bank fraud and identity theft.
Anofils was driving recklessly and at a high rate of speed when he struck 82-year-old Austin Noel, who was crossing the street at approximately 3:40 a.m.
The impact caused Noel to be thrown about 150 feet away on the road, and he was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
