The vehicle hit the first pedestrian as it traveled east on 149th Street, making a right turn onto southbound Courtlandt Avenue, officials said.
While fleeing that scene, officials say the driver lost control, jumped a curb and sped into scaffolding, along with five other pedestrians.
All the injured pedestrians were taken to a hospital with what were said to be minor injuries and are expected to be OK.
