A collision occurred at approximately 1pm on the N62 at Ballinahown, involving a car and a van. The female van driver, in her 40s, was taken to Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar with serious injuries, which are believed to be non-life-threatening. The male car driver, in his late teens, and three male passengers in their 20s were also taken to Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore for injuries that are not life-threatening. The scene is preserved for examination, and Gardaí are seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage.
