The male, aged in his 20s, travelling on the e-scooter who was brought to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown to be treated for serious injuries has since passed away.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the two-car collision on the Tubberjarlath Road, involving serious injuries, which occurred at approximately 1.40am.
Meanwhile, gardaí in Co Clare are appealing for witnesses after a man was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a two-vehicle road traffic collision.
The road was closed for a technical examination, but has since reopened after the serious incident involving a motorbike and a car.
