Kerry teenager dies following Bank Holiday crash

The fatal road traffic collision occurred on the L1029 road at Deerpark, Lixnaw on Saturday, August 2. The driver, an adult male aged in his late teens, and sole occupant of the car was airlifted to Cork University Hospital.
Tragically, the teenager was pronounced dead this morning, Wednesday, August 6. Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a single-vehicle collision at approximately 5.40pm.
Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have carried out an examination of the scene. Gardaí have again appealed for witnesses to this incident to come forward as investigations continue into the tragedy.
Any road users who may have dash-cam and were travelling in the area on the 2nd August 2025 between 5.15pm and 5.45pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
