Her body was removed to University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem examination. In Birdhill, a man in his 40s was the sole occupant and was pronounced deceased at the scene; his body was removed to University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem examination. Both scenes remain closed and preserved for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage and have provided contact numbers for submissions.
