A person died Thursday in a crash that shut down two lanes of Interstate 280 in Daly City, according to the California Highway Patrol. Around 11:10 a.m., a gray SUV struck the center divide of the highway and rolled over. The passenger was confirmed to be dead on the scene after appearing to be ejected from the car, according to CHP spokesperson Andrew Barclay.
A fatal collision has shut down a California highway during one of the busiest days for drivers on the road. On Wednesday, around 10:55 a.m., the California Highway Patrol was dispatched to Highway 20 between Penn Valley and Grass Valley, where two semitrucks crashed in a head-on collision, CHP Officer Sean Armacher told SFGATE. Following the major crash, a Toyota Tacoma also crashed into the trucks.
A 22-year-old man has died after a crash early Saturday morning in Bracebridge, about 80 kilometers northeast from Barrie, Ont., said Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). Officers responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash around 1:30 a.m. on Fraserburg Road between McKay Trail and Old Cottage Road, said a news release by OPP. The 22-year-old passenger from Brantford, Ont., was pronounced dead after the head-on collission, said police. The two drivers and another passenger were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Although his driver's license was suspended, Alvi Limani, 20, of Prince's Bay, allegedly was behind the wheel of a gray BMW X3 occupied by three other people when the horrific crash occurred on the evening of June 29, according to the criminal complaint. Albion Hysenaj, 19, of Great Kills, died and Joseph Donzella, 21, of Bay Terrace, was seriously injured after they were ejected from the backseat of Limani's BMW.
Police said a group of suspects crashed a pick-up truck into the Louis Vuitton store on East Walton Street. Cellphone video from a witness captured the moment thieves rammed the vehicle into the luxury store. The video then shows a group of people dressed in dark clothing rush into the store and then run out with stolen items. The people are then seen getting into other vehicles that were either parked nearby or that pulled up.
Police say 21-year-old James Korakis, of 9th Avenue in Whitestone, was riding a BMW motorcycle northbound on the Cross Island Parkway service road near 157th Street just after 7 p.m. when he collided with a Mine Cooper driven by a 28-year-old man who was also traveling northbound on the service road. The impact of the crash sent the motorcycle into two parked and unoccupied vehicles, a Toyota Rav4 and a Chevy Impala, police said.
