Video captures deadly high-speed crash between motorcycle, Benz
"Two men were killed in Brooklyn after a violent crash between a motorcycle and Mercedes Benz speeding late Sunday night, according to investigators. Police said the high-speed crash happened around 11:30 p.m. in Sheepshead Bay, near Shore Parkway and East 7th Street. The Mercedes driver and motorcyclist were exiting the Belt Parkway when they crashed, police said. The impact sent the Benz flipping upside down onto three cars parked on the side of the street."
"Surveillance video captured the moment of impact and the Benz flipping over several times before landing upside down on the hood of another car. Police said the 22-year-old man on the motorcycle and the 28-year-old passenger riding in the white Mercedes both died from their injuries. The Mercedes driver fled the scene on foot and was still being sought by police Monday morning."
The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. in Sheepshead Bay near Shore Parkway and East 7th Street. A speeding Mercedes and a motorcycle collided while exiting the Belt Parkway, propelling the Mercedes to flip onto three parked cars and later land upside down on the hood of another vehicle. Surveillance video captured the impact and multiple flips. A 22-year-old motorcyclist and a 28-year-old passenger in the white Mercedes died from their injuries. The Mercedes driver fled the scene on foot and remained sought by police the next morning. A gun was recovered at the crash site after crews righted the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
