"A 78-year-old woman was killed in a car crash Wednesday in San Bruno, police said. The solo-vehicle collision happened around 10:40 a.m. in the 100 block of El Camino Real, near San Felipe Avenue, according to the San Bruno Police Department. The woman crashed into a building, police said. She was taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead."
"The San Mateo County Coroner's Office will release the woman's identity after it is confirmed and her next of kin is notified. The North County Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the cause of the crash. Police said drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the collision. Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the driver during this difficult time, police said."
