Rapper Ghetts, real name Justin Clarke-Samuel, has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving following a collision in north-east London. The incident occurred on Redbridge Lane East, Ilford, on Saturday 18 October when a vehicle allegedly hit a 20-year-old man and failed to stop. The 20-year-old was taken to hospital and died on the day Ghetts appeared at Stratford Magistrates' Court. The indictment is expected to be amended to causing death by dangerous driving at the next hearing. Ghetts, 41, was remanded into custody and is due to appear at Barkingside Magistrates' Court on 27 October. Police have appealed for witnesses.
