Marwaan Mohamed Huseen, 20, pleaded guilty at Wood Green Crown Court via videolink from HMP Pentonville to causing the death of 19-year-old Marcus Fakana by dangerous driving and to causing serious injury by dangerous driving to another passenger. Huseen admits he was uninsured and unlicensed at the time. Metropolitan Police officers attempted to stop a vehicle of interest on Pretoria Road and pursued the BMW for around 60 seconds before temporarily losing sight; the vehicle was later found on The Roundway, N17, having collided with a lorry. Emergency services attended and Fakana was taken to hospital, where he later died. Fakana had been released three months earlier from a Dubai prison term after a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old.
