Police were called to Chorley Old Road, Bolton, on 14 December 2024, where a car, belonging to Cormac Sale, 22, had collided with a motorbike. The rider, 22-year-old Spencer Rothwell-Poole, from Horwich, died at the scene."

"Sale was jailed for 10 years and eight months at Bolton Crown Court on Thursday (26 February), after pleading guilty to causing death by dangerous driving. He has been banned from driving for just over 12 years."
Cormac Sale, 22, was driving under the influence of ketamine when his car collided with a motorcycle on Chorley Old Road in Bolton on December 14, 2024. Sale pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and was sentenced to 10 years and 8 months at Bolton Crown Court on February 26, 2026. He received a driving ban lasting just over 12 years.
