Police Officer Boubacar Barry was dismissed from the NYPD after being found guilty of five charges, including reckless driving and failing to assist victims. In 2024, Barry pursued a pickup truck driven by 17-year-old Jimmy Connors, who was driving the wrong way on the Henry Hudson Parkway. The pursuit ended in a head-on collision that killed two people. Barry did not provide aid to the victims and attempted to conceal his actions after the crash. Connors was later apprehended and pleaded guilty to manslaughter charges.
