A fatal single-vehicle collision occurred on the N15 at Grellagh, Castlegal, Co Sligo at approximately 3:30am on Monday, March 9, 2026. A female passenger aged in her 50s was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was removed to Sligo University Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination. A male passenger in his 50s was admitted to SUH in critical condition. The driver, a male in his 20s, and a male juvenile passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conducted technical examination of the road, which has since reopened. Gardaí are seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage from vehicles traveling the N15 between Cliffoney and Tullaghan between 3:10am and 3:40am.
