The fire engines collided at the junction of Farringdon Road and Clerkenwell Road on Saturday (January 3) night while driving to an incident in Islington. It happened shortly after 10pm and the site was cleared by 3.45am on Sunday. Images of the aftermath show smashed windscreens and a collapsed roof in one of the trucks."
"The surrounding streets were closed while police and ambulances rushed to the scene. The firefighters suffered fractured bones and injuries to the chest and head. The Met Police and the London Fire Brigade are investigating the collision. A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: We were called at 10.09pm on Saturday, 3 January, to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Farringdon Road and Clerkenwell Road, EC1M."
