Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have conducted an examination of the scene and the road has since reopened. A 16-year-old girl named Grace Lynch was struck by a scrambler motorcycle on Ratoath Road in Finglas, Dublin 11, at about 2.20pm while walking to meet friends. A green scrambler motorbike, a helmet, and a pair of trainers were found on the roadway near the Tolka Valley Road junction. The pedestrian was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown and later died of her injuries. An adult male in his late teens has been arrested and is detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. Garda Forensic Collision Investigators examined the scene, the road has reopened, and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage between 2.10pm and 2.40pm.
