They are believed to be originally from the Leinster area."

Garda, Fire Brigade and HSE ambulances attended and the road was closed with traffic diversions in place. Garda accident investigators sealed the scene for a detailed examination, vehicles will be inspected, and witnesses, especially dash-cam users, are asked to contact Waterford Gardaí. Post mortems will be conducted and the incident raises road fatality totals for the year.
