BROOKLYN, NY - Four people were injured in a five-alarm fire that ripped through a Borough Park bakery in the early morning hours of Wednesday, FDNY officials said. The blaze sparked on the first floor of 1285 36th St., between Clara Street and 13th Avenue about 2 a.m., according to the FDNY. The flames quickly spread to the rear of the two-story building. FDNY firefighters were still battling the blaze as of this morning, officials said.

Wednesday's fire at the Wang Fuk Court complex broke out on the netting around the lower levels of one of the buildings before spreading to foam panels that quickly caught fire. Winds then blew the flames onto the other buildings, with seven out of eight buildings affected. It took until Friday for the fire to be fully extinguished.

"The staff has been extremely cooperative, and they're probably really the true heroes, moving patients before we even got here."

A dispatch log obtained by The Times, however, shows that firefighters arrived at the scene that day and quickly reported seeing no smoke. They then canceled the dispatch for another engine that was on the way, clearing the call within 34 minutes. The log does not mention cold trailing. It's unclear if crews took any other actions during the call, because the LAFD has not answered questions about it.

No one was injured after a tour bus in Cape Cod was completely engulfed in flames Saturday afternoon, fire crews said. The driver of the bus was able to evacuate all of the passengers before firefighters arrived around noon on Saturday, the Wellfleet Fire Department said. Crews found a bus "fully engulfed in flames, with fire burning in the brush approaching a nearby home." Firefighters knocked the fire out, the department said, and prevented it from spreading to the home.
