House fire in Pleasanton displaces woman and dog, chief says
"PLEASANTON - A one-alarm fire Friday night in Pleasanton displaced a woman and a dog, according to the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department. Fire personnel with the joint fire department and Alameda County Fire responded to the blaze at 10:23 p.m. to find "well involved" flames erupting from the garage of a home in the 3000 block of Byron Court, according to Interim Fire Chief Aaron Lacey."
"Lacey said a woman and "young" dog resided in the house at the time. Both got out safely and were uninjured. He said fire officials red-tagged the house after the incident, meaning the home is inhabitable. The woman reportedly has family in the area, he added, and is residing elsewhere for now. "They're taken care of, they're doing alright," Lacey said."
