"The fire was reported around 9:05 p.m. in the bicycle lane of a bridge near the intersection of Niles Boulevard and Linda Drive, according to the Fremont Police Department. Officers arrived to find firefighters had already extinguished the fire. Firefighters reported finding the remains of a minimally burned dog at the scene, police said."
