Fire extinguished at Bob Lobster in Newbury
"Beloved seafood shack Bob Lobster caught fire Saturday evening, which led to the brief closure of Plum Island Turnpike while multiple fire agencies responded to the scene, according to a press release. Newbury firefighters, who received help from the Newburyport, Rowley, and Georgetown fire departments at the scene, were able to successfully put out the small fire. The Newbury Fire Department also was supported by firefighters from West Newbury, Salisbury, Groveland, and Amesbury, who covered Newbury's stations at the time of the blaze."

Upon arrival at Bob Lobster, fire officials reported that three employees had evacuated the restaurant, and there was smoke coming from the roof. The fire was located inside the roof and walls. Firefighters were quick to take out a small fire in the roof, but needed more time to fight several hot spots in the roof and walls. No injuries were reported at the scene."
