Abdel Derdour, of Old Gloucester Street in Camden, north London, has also been charged with possession of a knife in a public place. At Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on Monday, the 22-year-old was remanded in custody ahead of his next appearance at Inner London Crown Court on New Year's Eve.
A pair of knife-wielding robbers in London were tackled to the ground and arrested by the Metropolitan Police in just eight minutes following a chase. Footage released by the force on Thursday (20 November) shows officers running after the two suspects, one on foot and one on an e-bike, after they received reports from distressed victims who had been robbed at knife-point.

A knifeman who assaulted two men in an unprovoked attack on the Underground has been convicted following a police investigation.
