They were even bigger in person, the video doesn't do it justice. The witness said one youth pleaded with officers: Allow it, please, it's not mine."
"BTP told the Standard: At around 2pm on October 5, British Transport Police officers spoke to two boys, aged 15 and 16, in relation to a ticket issue at Euston Underground station. Grounds were established for a search and two machetes were recovered. Both boys were arrested and taken into custody, where they were further arrested on suspicion of breach of court bail as part of an unrelated matter. They were both charged with possession of an offensive weapon and appeared at Bromley Youth Court on Monday."
Two teenagers aged 15 and 16 were stopped by British Transport Police at Euston Underground over a ticket issue and subjected to a search. Officers recovered two large machetes during the search and both youths were arrested. A bystander recorded video showing one boy in a tracksuit with his head down while officers conducted the search and a woman with a small child walked past. A witness described the knives as massive and recounted one youth pleading that a weapon was not his. Both youths were additionally arrested over an alleged breach of court bail, charged with possession of an offensive weapon, and appeared at Bromley Youth Court.
