London school stabbings latest: Police hunt suspect after two teenagers attacked
"We recognise that this incident will cause considerable concern within the community. We want to reassure local students, parents and local residents that we have deployed significant resources to the area and are doing everything we can to locate the suspect."
"I've been panicking - a lot of kids don't have their phones on them so I couldn't get through. They had to leave their bags and stuff. At least I have her now. It's awful - so awful - what happened, that someone would even bring a knife to a school. My daughter said at a fire alarm went off when it happened."
Two boys aged 12 and 13 were stabbed at Kingsbury High School in Bacon Lane, Brent, at about 12:40pm. Both victims were found at the school and taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service. Officers identified a teenage boy as a suspect and launched an urgent search, deploying significant resources including a cordon near Roe Green Park and a police helicopter. Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams said the force recognised community concern and was doing everything possible to locate the suspect. Parents gathered outside the lower school, and one mother described panic, abandoned belongings, and a fire alarm sounding during the incident.
