Kraig Jarret Johnson, a Minneapolis indie vet who's played in Golden Smog, The Jayhawks, Run Westy Run, and other groups over the last 40 years, has been diagnosed with cancer. His family wrote: "He underwent surgery to remove a third of his colon and after some tests, we learned that the cancer has spread to his lymph nodes."

A GoFundMe page is raising thousands to support a worker at the Ford Rouge Plant in Dearborn, Michigan, after he openly criticized President Trump-to his face. The worker, identified in media reports as TJ Sabula, heckled Trump while he was visiting the plant on January 13. In a video obtained by TMZ, Sabula can be heard calling the president a "pedophile protector." In response, the president can be seen mouthing an expletive and telling Sabula "you're fired" before flipping him off.

A woman whose body was pulled from the Santa Ana River in Orange County on New Year's Day has been identified as 39-year-old Alejandra Ramirez Torres, coroner's officials said. Her body had been carried by the river's current from Santa Ana to Fountain Valley before it could be retrieved by fire crews. Ramirez Torres was the mother of two daughters, ages 11 and 16, according to a GoFundMe created by her relatives.

Residents were asked to decorate their cars, dress up, and drive past the Boucher's house for "Haddie's Holly Jolly Christmas Parade," an event organizer posted on Facebook.

A man has been accused of killing his 18-year-old daughter. Onyx Cornish was found dead at her home in Caldwell, Idaho, last Tuesday (19 August) by officers responding to reports of an armed man, in the house. According to an affidavit, her body was found wrapped in a Pride flag, Idaho News 6 reports. Her father, 51-year-old Delbert Cornish, was arrested later that evening. Cornish was charged with murder and aggravated assault, according to court reports seen by People.
