Following a three-day notice to pay or vacate issued in December, his landlord Eric Goldie filed an eviction complaint in late December. A judge subsequently entered a default eviction ruling against Rourke, meaning he failed to respond to the complaint within the required timeframe. In January, Rourke's management team launched a GoFundMe campaign that raised over $100,000 from approximately 2,700 donors within three days. However, Rourke rejected the funds and denounced the campaign.
