Brothers, age 26 and 27, were inseparable in life. They died together in Staten Island crash
"They just always looked out for each other,"
"Jose always was like, 'No, I'm not leaving my brother.'"
"a reincarnation of both of them."
Joshua Mendez, 26, Jose Pazos, 27, and friend Raymond Irizarry, 25, died in a single-car crash on the New Jersey-bound Staten Island Expressway just before 4:20 a.m. The brothers were inseparable and deeply family-oriented, raised in Brownsville and living in Staten Island for 16 years. They shared passions for football, Bachata music, high-end fashion, and owned a sneaker collection of over 60 pairs. Oct. 10 would have been Pazos' 28th birthday and the expected due date of Mendez's son. Mendez leaves a daughter; Pazos was uncle to ten nieces and nephews. A GoFundMe was created to help with burial expenses.
