Wakefield man 'vanished,' has been missing for 3 weeks, wife says
"We just want to know that he's safe. We don't know where he went; he literally vanished,"
"a devoted fur dad to his five pups, a wonderful uncle, and a deeply loved member of our family. His sudden disappearance has left Kristen, and all of us, heartbroken, frightened, and searching for answers no family should ever have to seek."
""He's an only child," Bartoli said. "It was really overwhelming.""
Jason Thomas, 45, vanished shortly before midnight on Dec. 12 after leaving home on foot in the area of Murray and Chestnut streets in Wakefield. He left his phone and wallet behind and was last captured on camera near train tracks at Chestnut Street and North Avenue, though a train conductor reported not seeing him board. Both parents died in November, and his wife Kristen Bartoli says he had difficulty coping. Friends and family launched a GoFundMe that has raised nearly $55,000 to hire private investigators and support Bartoli, and volunteers are distributing flyers and posting online to aid the search.
