The leaders of a mysterious "cult-like" California religious group allegedly tied to the death of a 4-year-old boy and a man who disappeared from a coffee shop have been charged with murder. The arrests of leading members of what authorities are calling a "religious high-control group" named His Way Spirit Led Assemblies are connected to the alleged murder of Emilio Ghanem, 40, who went missing in 2023, and the alleged murder of 4-year-old Timothy "Timo" Thomas.

The Los Angeles County district attorney's office charged Cabrera with one count of murder after the remains of 33-year-old Sheylla Cabrera, also known as Sheylla Lisbet Gutiérrez Rosillo, were discovered in Angeles National Forest on Aug. 16. She had been reported missing four days earlier. On Aug. 13, authorities uncovered surveillance footage showing Cabrera dragging a bulky covered object from the Lancaster Boulevard apartment building where he lived with his wife and their children. Donna, who is 70-years-old, was last seen on Monday at approximately 4:30 p.m. in the area of Queen Street and Chinguacousy Road, Peel Regional Police said in a news release Tuesday.

British doctor Ruaridh Tanner, from Harrow, London, has gone missing in southern Spain, with his brother Rufus appealing to expats and holidaymakers on the Costa del Sol to help find him after he was last seen in Nerja on 25 October. Rufus said his brother may be living in a silver VW Polo and described him as 1.85m tall with a caduceus tattoo on his left arm, urging anyone with information to help confirm he is safe.
"It's the last thing, and now the only thing, we can do for Anto and his family," he said. "It came as a big shock for us. We knew he went missing last Wednesday, and it was Sunday, on the fifth day, that his body was recovered. "He would have been 40 in a couple of weeks time, so we were gearing up for a big celebration for him. But we've all been left devastated for his family after what has happened."
