"“We feel that there is a bit of a code of silence there in the Tremblant community,” Toman's father Chris said in an interview ahead of the search. “It's a great community, but we think that there's a couple of people that know what's going on. We say somebody knows something.”"
"The Whitby, Ont., man was 22 when he went missing on Feb. 2, 2025. He was in Mont-Tremblant with friends and disappeared after a day of skiing and partying in Tremblant village. Toman was last seen on surveillance footage around 3:20 a.m. His wallet was found in March 2025 in a nearby parking lot."
"While there has been no trace of Toman on social media and no activity in his bank accounts since the night he went missing, his family remains hopeful. Last November, an anonymous donor offered up to $50,000 in the hopes it would encourage somebody to come forward with more information. Sun Youth is administering the reward, which expires on May 20 but will be renewed every six months “until Liam is found,” his family told CBC after they met with Sun Youth."
"This weekend, the family will have the help of the volunteer group SARCAN K9. They train working line dogs in cadaver detection and search and rescue. The organization says there are 90 volunteers signed up to help with the search this weekend. Shiva is one of the three SARCAN K9 dogs that specialize in cadaver detection and search and rescue that will be part of the search for Liam Toman in Tremblant this weekend."
Liam Toman, 22, disappeared in Mont-Tremblant on Feb. 2, 2025 after skiing and partying with friends. Surveillance footage shows him leaving a bar around 3:20 a.m., and his wallet was found in March 2025 in a nearby parking lot. There has been no trace of him on social media and no bank activity since that night. His family believes some people in the Tremblant community may know what happened and has continued seeking answers. An anonymous donor offered up to $50,000, administered by Sun Youth, with the reward renewed every six months until he is found. A volunteer group, SARCAN K9, will assist with the search using cadaver detection and search-and-rescue dogs, including Shiva.
