Leonard Mercury, 57, was reported missing after leaving Heywood Hospital on October 31. He escaped by breaking a window and jumping from the second floor, wearing only hospital clothing. His body was discovered in Crystal Lake after extensive searches by police. Drones were used to locate the body, which was retrieved by the State Police Dive Team. The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and the incident is under investigation.
