GoFundMe confirms that a $1.4 million fundraising campaign for Renee Nicole Good is verified
"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. We are here brokenhearted and in awe of your generosity,"
"We will be adding Becca, Renee's partner as a beneficiary as soon as possible. They will have direct access to all of these funds. Thank you again for your compassion. They feel this tidal wave of care and it really matters."
"We all know the truth we saw with our own eyes. This should not have happened,"
"When an unarmed mother can be murdered by a masked mercenary in the streets of the United States, do you feel free?"
Renee Good, a 37-year-old woman, was fatally shot by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent in Minneapolis on January 7 while turning her vehicle away, according to multiple videos that contradict the federal government’s claim. A GoFundMe campaign for her wife Becca and their six-year-old son appeared immediately and quickly surpassed its $50,000 goal, eventually raising over $1.4 million. Good also had two older children from a previous marriage. GoFundMe initially held the funds pending verification but confirmed the campaign’s authenticity and co-organizer Becka Tilson said beneficiaries will have direct access to the donations. Donor comments expressed grief and political outrage.
