Emari O'Garrow, 47, is accused of coaxing a woman into coming to his apartment, where he allegedly forced himself on her and raped her. The victim's description of the attack evokes his five prior rape and sexual assault convictions overseas, where he spoke to his victims with a tone and confidence that signaled that he not only was consciously ignoring their refusals to sex, but that their pleas to stop sexually excited him.

West Midlands police were called to the Park Hall area of Walsall just after 7.15pm on Saturday after a woman was reported to be distressed in the street. The force said the woman, in her 20s, had been raped and assaulted at a nearby property by a man she did not know. A 32-year-old man was arrested just before 7am on Monday in the Perry Barr area of Birmingham and would be questioned, police said.

Kenneth Siriboe, 21, allegedly approached the woman around 5 a.m. Sunday inside the residential building on East Gun Hill Road near Putnam Place in Norwood, where he allegedly covered her mouth with one hand and squeezed her throat with the other, according to a criminal complaint. He then threw the woman to the ground and repeatedly punched her, causing bruising, swelling and cuts, the court doc said.
