A woman, Melasia Harris, alleged she was raped on Coney Island beach on July 5 after meeting a group of people. She described how a man with a scar on his lip attacked her, performing oral sex despite her screaming for help. She claimed no one intervened, and the man followed her to another area where the assault occurred. The NYPD confirmed they are investigating the report of the rape that took place early Saturday morning, with no arrests made yet.
"He saw that I was on the floor and that's when he put his face between my legs, and I started screaming and everyone started laughing and recording me. Nobody helped. Nobody stopped."

The NYPD said they received a report of a rape that allegedly happened around 3 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, at the corner of Boardwalk West and Stillwell Avenue.
