Ex-Spandau Ballet star Ross Davidson jailed for rape
"Ross Davidson, who used Ross Wild as his stage name, filmed himself sexually assaulting six women - some of whom were asleep - between August 2013 and December 2019 at the height of his fame."
"Prosecutor Richard Hearnden told the court videos were taken when women were 'as vulnerable as can be' as they were in 'such a deep sleep that they could not be disturbed'."
"Judge John Dodd KC, the Recorder of Haringey, told Davidson: 'For a period of six years... you were also behaving to women in a wholly disgraceful manner.'"
Ross Davidson, known as Ross Wild, was sentenced to 14 years in prison after being convicted of eight charges, including rape and attempted rape. The 37-year-old filmed himself assaulting six women between 2013 and 2019. He was found guilty of multiple sexual offenses during two trials. Prosecutor Richard Hearnden described the assaults as occurring when victims were deeply asleep. Judge John Dodd KC condemned Davidson's behavior, stating he abused the trust of women while enjoying a successful music career. Davidson will also face a sexual harm prevention order.
