The convicted child sexual abuser and former Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins has died after being attacked in prison. The 48-year-old was serving a 29-year prison sentence at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years on licence, after admitting a string of sex offences including the attempted rape of a baby. He was arrested after the execution of a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were seized.

Brooklyn Special Victims Squad detectives charged Justin Lee, 22, of Queens Village, on Oct. 5 with attempted rape, strangulation, and burglary in connection with an early-morning attack on Oct. 4 within the 60th Precinct in southern Brooklyn. According to police, Lee allegedly broke into a private residence where a 12-year-old girl was located and tried to rape her. The burglary charge stems from his unlawful entry into the home, while the strangulation charge is related to actions taken within the act, police sources said.

Zane Covington, 53, of Brentwood, was charged with a single count of sexual exploitation of minor, a federal offense that carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison. The criminal complaint says a federal task force officer with Homeland Security Investigations verified multiple videos showing Covington inappropriately touching two "pre-pubescent girl(s)" and found other child sexual abuse videos online that he appeared to have searched for using "terms associated with child pornography files."

Court documents refer to the victim as "Jack Doe," who told investigators Johnson punched his "weanie" and subjected him to digital penetration at least 20 times between Jan. 1, 2023 and Oct. 4, 2024. Doe told police his foster mother was "evil" and forced him to watch "creepy, weird sex" on TikTok during the sexual abuse. The charges that the Muskogee county district attorney's office filed against Dustin Walker, 34, on Monday came after a DNA test confirmed he was the father of the newborn at the center of the case, the Oklahoma news outlet KWTV reported, citing officials.
